Subscriptions & payments

Bite Insight offers both free and premium subscription plans.

Premium features are available through Bite Insight+ subscriptions. Subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store, Google Play, or Stripe. Pricing and features are displayed within the App before purchase.

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription through your app store account settings.
• Refunds are subject to the policies of your app store provider.
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice.

Intellectual property

All content, features, and functionality of Bite Insight are owned by Bite Insight Ltd and are protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

• The Bite Insight name, logo, and branding are trademarks of Bite Insight Ltd.
• Product data sourced from Open Food Facts is subject to their licensing terms.
• User-generated content remains your property but you grant us a licence to use it within the Service.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Bite Insight in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or in breach of these Terms.

Prohibited activities include but are not limited to:

• Attempting to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems.
• Using the Service to distribute malware or harmful content.
• Reverse engineering or decompiling any part of the App.
• Using automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service.
• Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your identity.
• Using the Service for any commercial purpose without our consent.

Disclaimers

Bite Insight is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of nutritional information provided through the Service. Food product data is sourced from third-party databases and may contain errors or omissions.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bite Insight Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

This includes but is not limited to any health decisions made based on information provided by the App. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
