Check the label for your allergens

Allergens hide behind other names. Whey is milk. Albumin is egg. Tahini is sesame. Bite Insight knows the aliases and flags them on every scan.

Nothing matches that yet. Try another name, or see the options below if yours isn’t listed.

Common questions

About using Bite Insight with allergies and intolerances.

No. Bite Insight reads the ingredients and allergen information on file for each product, but recipes change and “may contain” warnings vary. Always check the pack you’re holding, especially for severe allergies.

An allergy is an immune reaction and can be severe or life-threatening. An intolerance is about how your body digests something. It can be very unpleasant but it doesn’t involve the immune system in the same way. Bite Insight handles both, and you can add as many as you need.

Where a product’s data includes traces or “may contain” information, Bite Insight shows it alongside the main allergen check.
